The age of rolling and crawling
Babies in M size start rolling, sitting and crawling. This is when many families switch from tape to pants, because pants go on even when the baby will not lie still.
M is one of the best-selling sizes, so shops should keep good stock of both M tape and M pants.
How to check the M size fits
- The waistband sits just below the belly button and you can slide two fingers under it.
- The leg cuffs are pulled out, not tucked in, and leave no deep red marks.
- No leaks up the back or at the sides after a normal wear.
Leaks, red marks or tapes that barely reach the front mean it is time to move up a size.
M diaper size: common questions
Is M the same as size 3?
Roughly, yes. Size 3 (about 7 to 13 kg) is close to the Indian M size (6 to 11 kg).
Should I use pants or tape in size M?
Either works. Pants are easier once your baby rolls and crawls; tape gives a snugger fit at night.
