Toddler years
Most toddlers in XL wear pant diapers, because they walk, run and climb. Many also start potty training while in XL, and pants help them practise pulling them up and down.
XL or XXL?
If your toddler weighs over 15 kg, leaks at night or has marks from the waistband, try XXL.
How to check the XL size fits
- The waistband sits just below the belly button and you can slide two fingers under it.
- The leg cuffs are pulled out, not tucked in, and leave no deep red marks.
- No leaks up the back or at the sides after a normal wear.
Leaks, red marks or tapes that barely reach the front mean it is time to move up a size.
XL diaper size: common questions
What is the difference between XL and XXL diapers?
XL fits about 12 to 17 kg and XXL about 15 to 25 kg. XXL is longer and wider, with more absorbency for bigger toddlers and night-time.
Is XL the same as size 5?
Roughly. Size 5 (about 12 kg and up) matches the Indian XL size.
